A total of 14 new paved and concrete roads with a total length of more than 165 km in Kampong Speu province has been officially inaugurated and put into public use, under the presidency of H.E. Hun Many, an elected lawmaker in Kampong Speu province on march 29, 2023.
Constructed under the management of the Ministry of Rural Development in the second phase, the road construction project has a total of 14 lines and a total length of 165.63 km, including 153.25 km of DBST paved roads and 12.38 km of paved and concrete roads.
The main road project runs pass through 25 communes and 6 districts in Kompong Speu province, with a cost of US$15.15 million.
Speaking in the ceremony, H.E. Hun Many addressed the importance of this road project, claiming that the rural road improvement project contributes to the development and promotion of socio-economic growth and poverty reduction in Cambodia, in particularly minimizing the impact on the health of the people living along all roads.
Additionally, he added that it is also providing a wide range of opportunities in many sectors of development such as agriculture, industry, education, tourism, health, and other social services.
