In the first two months of 2025, Cambodia’s trade volume with ASEAN member countries reached over US$2.751 billion, down 0.35% from US$2.761 billion in the same period last year. This according to the latest report from the Ministry of Commerce.
The report shows that Cambodia’s trade with ASEAN member countries accounted for 28.7% of total international trade. Cambodia's exports to ASEAN countries were US$970 million, a year-on-year decrease of 8.87%, while the imports were US$1.77 billion, a year-on-year increase of 5%.
Cambodia mainly exports agricultural products, clothing, footwear, luggage, electronic products and bicycles to ASEAN countries. Imported goods include: food, beverages, electrical and electronic equipment, building materials, agricultural machinery and vehicles, etc.
According to the report, from January to February 2025, Cambodia’s trade volume with international markets reached over US$9.586 billion, up 15.47% compared to the same period last year. Of this, the exports were US$4.599 billion, an increase of 14.25%, while the Imports reached US$4.987 billion, an increase of 16.62%.
In addition, the report shows that in the first two months of this year, Cambodia's trade volume with RCEP member countries reached US$6.119 billion, an increase of 11.2% from US$5.502 billion in the same period last year.
