Cambodian Human Rights Committee Vice President Chin Malin will lead a delegation to visit Russia next week at the invitation of Tatiana Moskalkova, the High Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation.
In the two-day visit on December 17-18, Mr Malin and his delegation will participate in a number of programs, according to a CHRC press statement
Mr Malin said will be a guest speaker at the 3rd International Conference on the Protection of Human Rights in Europe and Asia (Eurasia) and lead his delegation to attend the Eurasian Ombudsman Alliance as an observer state.
“On behalf of CHRC, I will present in the conference about human rights and laws in Cambodia. I will share experience to other countries as well,” he sid.
CHRC delegation will also have a working discussion with the Russian Federation High Commissioner for Human Rights and sign a Memorandum of Understanding on the cooperation in the field of human rights.
“Under the MOU, we will exchange visits and help each other in building capacity. We will also exchange documents, and facilitate convenient ways for our Cambodian citizens living in Russia and Russian people living in Cambodia when their rights are abused,” Mr Malin said. Source from Khmertimes.
