Four national roads of the total length of 130 km in Tbong Khmum and Kratie provinces are being rehabilitated in order to facilitate and improve rural areas transportation with financial supports from the World Bank. Those four roads are NR 7, NR 73, NR 377 and NR 377A, according to the Ministry of Public Works and Transport.
Of these 4 roads, the National Highway 7 (31.25k.m) and 73 (50k.m) will be upgraded to asphalt concrete (AC) quality, whereas the National Road 377 (35.5k.m) and 377A (13.6k.m) will be built as DBST road quality level. This road quality level is resilient to climate change so that it can facilitate travel from the countryside to schools, health centres, markets, towns and other major road networks.
According to CLV (Cambodia, Laos, and Vietnam) top leader meeting on June 23, 2019, Kratie is one of the four provinces that expected to be a new economic growth pole for the country particularly through infrastructure development and inflow of tourists.(This news came from Construction-Property.com)
