This was made known by Pablo Kang, Ambassador of Australia during a meeting with Pan Sorasak, Minister of Commerce.
Mr Sorasak thanked the Ambassador as well as the Government of Australia for the willingness and looked forward to concretising it.
Both sides also touched on bilateral trade at large between Cambodia and Australia and coordination for the implementation of Cambodia’s trade integration strategy 2019-2023.
The diplomat underlined Australia’s current contribution to the Royal Government of Cambodia in stabilising the national economy and people’s living condition during COVID-19 crisis.
Cambodia and Australia are crucial trade partners, especially under the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) and ASEAN-Australian-New Zealand Free Trade (AANZ) frameworks.
