Phay Siphan, Minister Attached to the Prime Minister and Chairman of the Royal Government Spokesperson Unit posted on his official Facebook page that the law was approved with a few amendments on some wordings.
The draft law is aimed to ensure the management of commercial gaming centres in Cambodia in order to contribute to boost the economic growth, enhance the tourism sector, create jobs, collect income, maintain social safety and security by defining competence, rules and procedures for commercial gaming centre management.
Economic analysts said that the approval of the draft law at the cabinet law is a positive milestone as it marks yet another development in ensuring that the rule of law is implementedfor the economic benefits of the country.
