Ratanakkiri Provincial Department of Tourism plans to set up 5 more tourist resorts to attract tourists

Ratanakkiri Provincial Department of Tourism plans to set up five more tourist resorts to attract tourists, which will improve the livelihood of the people in the community, as this area has a lot of natural potential for national and international tourists to show off.

Nget Pitou, Director of the Ratanakkiri Provincial Department of Tourism, told National Radio of Cambodia that the project to expand the five new tourist sites in Ratanakkiri is a strategy to expand and compile new resort areas to serve the natural resort production line and to serve national and international tourists.The director of the department confirmed that the five tourist sites where the provincial authorities are preparing to develop under the cooperation of the relevant authorities are in O'Yadao district, Kon Mom district, Lumphat district, Andong Meas district, which is an area rich in natural potential, with waterfalls, small and large  beautiful forests stay with attractive lush blue.

"The next goal is to create five more places to develop tourism in Ratanakkiri. The potential of these four districts is O'Yadao, Lumphat, as a potential for tourism whereas in Andong Meas district, there are waterfalls along the Sesan River and in Kon Mom district, there is a water line has not been determined, but people often call Koh Sampov. When we register ,we will detail about it.We have set up 5 places, we will find a direction to put the development plan for other areas, we can not do it all at once. We follow the plan which we want to help the people in the communities that have been created and let them do business in this eco-tourism resort area. First, we improve the infrastructure to reach that area.Second, related to natural resources, such as the environment, we need to work together to demarcate, identify natural resource areas which they proposed to form into their resort community. "he said.

It should be noted that in the first half of 2020, a total of 85,110 tourists visited Ratanakkiri province, including 8,004 national tourists and 5,106 international tourists. (This news came from information.gov. kh)
