The Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) has given the green light to three new investment projects with a total investment capital of $36.5 million.
According to the council’s press release issued yesterday, the newly approved projects are expected to create some 615 jobs for the locals.
The three projects cover the production of cardboard boxes, the creation of livestock farm and solar power station, and the processing of all kinds of leather.
The projects belong to HE Cheng Xing Packaging (Cambodia) Co., Ltd., Kang Hwa E & C (Cambodia) Co., Ltd., and Corium Leather (Cambodia) Co., Ltd, in Phnom Penh capital city, and Kampong Cham and Takeo provinces.
Such investments amid the COVID-19 outbreak demonstrate confidence of foreign investors in Cambodia’s macroeconomic, political and social stability though threatened by the pandemic. AKP
