Recently, officials from the Ministry of Public Works and Transportation inspected the construction of National Road. 51 Road in Kampong Speu Province to ensure that the road quality meets the engineering technical standards.
During the inspection, state secretary Khan Maner emphasized that the construction party should monitor the quality and technology of road construction, including drainage systems, traffic signs and traffic routes strictly.
At the same time, after the road is completed and handed over, the obligation of maintaining the road should be handed over to the Provincial Public Works and Transportation Bureau to ensure that it can be used for a long time.
It is understood that Highway 51 was built with the aid of the Chinese government, with a total length of 37.95 kilometers, from the Oudongk Intersection National Road 5 to Thnal Toteung District National Road 4 in Kampong Speu Province, with a total construction cost of about 40.88 million US dollars.
The construction of National Road 51 started on March 14, 2017. The project is expected to be completed officially on December 31 this year. The contractor is China Road and Bridge Construction Corporation.
