His Excellency Péter Szijjártó, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, led a delegation to Cambodia on the morning of November 3, 2020 to pay a one-day official visit at the invitation of His Excellency Prak Sokhon, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Kingdom Cambodia. According to a press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during his visit to Cambodia, HE Peter Sichato will pay a courtesy call to Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia. After the courtesy call, Samdech Techo Prime Minister will preside over the signing ceremony of three important documents, including These include: 1) Agreement on Air Transport Services between the Royal Government of the Kingdom of Cambodia and the Government of Hungary. 2) Memorandum of Understanding on Water Resources Management between the Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology of the Kingdom of Cambodia and the Ministry of Interior of Hungary. 3) Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in Agriculture between the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of the Kingdom of Cambodia and the Ministry of Agriculture of Hungary.
The statement also said that HE Peter Sichato will have an official meeting with HE Prak Sokhon, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation to discussing bilateral cooperation in various fields as well as regional and international issues of common interest and concern, followed by a joint press conference. Meanwhile, HE Peter Sichato will have a separate meeting with HE Pan Sosak, Minister of Commerce, HE Veng Sakhon, Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries and HE Sous Yara, a member of the Cambodian Parliament. During his official visit to Cambodia, HE Peter Sichato will preside over the official opening ceremony of the Hungarian Embassy office in Phnom Penh as well.
It should be noted that the official visit of His Excellency Peter Sichato, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary to the Kingdom of Cambodia will continue to expand and strengthen further close traditional friendship and cooperation between Cambodia and Hungary.
