Bilateral trade between Cambodia and Japan was recorded at US$1,548 million in first nine months of this year, down 25 percent compared to the same period last year.
Figures from Japan External Trade Organisation (JETRO) show that from January to September 2020, Cambodia exported US$1,208 million worth of products to Japan, a year-on-year decline of 5.6 percent.
Meanwhile, Cambodia imported US$339 million worth of goods from Japan, a decrease of 14.8 percent.
According to the Ministry of Commerce, the Cambodian potential products exported to Japan are clothes, footwear and electronics.
Last year, the two-way trade between the two nations rose by 13 percent to US$2,292 million.
