More high-rise building will appear in Chroy Changvar satellite city in the future

The Chroy Changvar satellite city, which is planned to be developed as a smart green city, will have more high-rise buildings in the near future, while the economic crisis has caused many projects to be postponed.

Touch Samnang, Deputy Director General of OCIC, said last weekend that the city's development plan was in line with its master plan, and that we would develop a Smart City with the correct infrastructure to follow the concept of our development. He added that the satellite city will be developed like a commercial area along Monivong Boulevard.

“The city will have more high-rise buildings in the future, and construction has been delayed due to the economic crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Currently, the construction of the cable-stayed bridge is going smoothly, which will facilitate traffic between National Road No. 5 and National Road No. 6," he said.

The satellite city now has a 21-storey OCIC headquarters. Chroy Changvar satellite city is named the city of the future.

Samnang said that the main infrastructure in the city has been completed and there are still some small roads that are preparing step by step.

Chrek Soknim, The President of the Association of Appraisers and Real Estate Agents of Cambodia, once said that the development of this city will help boost the Cambodian economy, especially the location of this city has high potential because the location is very close to the center of Phnom Penh, especially convenient  infrastructures and provides easy traffic flow for people to travel.

"With many bridges, the city is also environmentally friendly due to the surrounding rivers, which provide a harmonious living environment," he said.
