Pursuant to the Royal Government of Cambodia's Instruction on additional measures to continue to manage impacts on key sectors of the economy in the context of the crisis, rehabilitation and stimulation of Cambodia's Economic Growth after the COVID-19 crisis on Dec 23, 2020 Cambodia has decided to extend the stamp duty to homebuyers below $ 70,000 from January 2021 until the end of December 2021 from housing developers registered with the Ministry of Economy and Finance or at the Department of Economy and Finance.
After extensive consultation with all stakeholders and adhering to the proactive spirit, the seventh round of measures is designed to include six points, the fourth of which is the supportive measures: Continue to exempt stamp duty on home buyers with a value of less than US $ 70,000 from January 2021 until the end of December 2021 from a housing developer registered with the Ministry of Economy and Finance, or at the Department of Economy and Finance.
At the same time, the Royal Government would like to call on all housing developers to join the Royal Government in lowering house prices as much as possible.
