Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen's directive to install the tourism destination with the effectiveness of Free Wifi

Samdech Techo in the occasion of 7th National Clean City Day hosted  at Sokha Phnom Penh Hotel reminded the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications to strictly review the issue of Free Wifi because the use of the Wifi is not yet available. In effect, when there is a Wifi but no internet connection.

"At the same time, the Ministry of Post and Telecommunication will provide free WiFi in each destination, especially in Phnom Penh, Siem Reap, Sihanoukville, Battambang, before 2023," he said. Here, I also draw more attention because the situation we have in Phnom Penh seems to be ineffective.

Samdech Techo also suggested that the owner, location, hotel, or any other places with free Wifi must be checked  when renting the internet to install Wifi at its location, but the internet does not work but pay with the normal bill.

Chhay Sivlin, president of the Cambodian Association of Travel Agents (CATA), greeted the head of the government with the intention of introducing Free Wifi in all tourism destinations that make it easier for tourists to communicate.

She added that when putting such free Wifi will make Cambodia more diverse and attract more tourists to visit Cambodia. Additionally, if the government set it ownselt, the Free Wifi will work better than provided private companies, because the company has a limited speed.
