OCIC are investing invest about US$2.5 billion over three years to develop a new satellite urban development plan for Koh Norea. The development region in Chabar Ampov district, ranging from Koh Pich's satellite town to Kean Svay in Kandal province, is located east of Koh Pich's satellite town. The development project covers a total of 125 hectares of land. In order to complete the Koh Norea project, OCIC has been constructing concrete riverbanks and infrastructure along the river since January 2020. Two concrete bridges will be built across the Bassac River as part of the project. The first bridge connects National Road 1 and Koh Norea, while the second connects Koh Pich and Koh Norea.
