Offices building in short supply, grab it now

Phnom Penh has expensive housing prices and high rental yields, which have attracted the attention of investors around the world. In recent years, investors have paid more attention to office buildings in addition to their preference for residential properties.

Cambodia’s investment policy is loose, the US dollar is domain in currency and there is no foreign exchange control. Foreign-funded companies can enjoy a series of benefits such as corporate income tax relief for up to 9 years. Companies from all over the world have poured into Cambodia and settle their offices to Phnom Penh.

According to the Ministry of Commerce of Cambodia, 19,000 new companies were established by foreign investors in Cambodia from 2010 to 2016. In 2017, there were 4,899 companies in a single year. In 2018, there were 14,552 companies, three times the number in 2017. In recent years, the supply of office buildings has fallen short of the number of new enterprises established, and the office market has been extremely in short supply.
