Cambodian Tourism Minister Tang Kun recently said that Cambodian beaches received more than 770,000 foreign tourists in the first 10 months of 2018. This year, 920,000 foreign tourists and 3.5 million undergraduate tourists are expected to be received.
Tang Kun said that four coastal provinces in Cambodia have identified different development goals: Koh Kong Province as beach ecotourism, Prosseyhano Province as comprehensive leisure tourism, provincial tourism city, and Kampot Province as agricultural tourism and cultural heritage tourism.
It is predicted that Cambodian beaches will receive 1.2 million foreign tourists and 4.5 million local tourists by 2020. By 2030, the number of foreign tourists will increase to more than 3 million and that of local tourists will increase to 6 million.
