Compass Cambodia report - Koh Nora Development Company plans to open the bridge connecting Koh Nora to National Road 1 in September, as the construction is now more than 90 percent completed.
Mr. Touch Samnang, Deputy General Director of OCIC, the company that develops Koh Nora, said on August 10 that the construction work is proceeding as planned, and expected in September to be put into use for people’s travel.
“The bridge is now more than 90 percent completed and probably in September we can put it into operational, so commuters can travel from National Road No. 1 and cross the bridge before passing through Koh Nora and take the ferry to Koh Pich,” he said.
The US$2.5 billion investment project on Koh Nora, which covers an area of 125 hectares, includes the construction of two bridges, the first bridge connecting Koh Nora to National Road No. 1, with a construction cost of US$1.6 million, and the second bridge connecting Koh Pich and Koh Nora, with a construction cost of US$38 million.
