Compass Cambodia report, July 9th - 79 new industrial investment projects were filed in the Kingdom during the first half of 2021, whereas 135 others reported closures due to the epidemic.
This is according to the Ministry of Industry, Science, Technology, and Innovation's major report (MISTI).
HE Heng Sok Kong, the Ministry's Secretary of State and Spokesperson, said on Thursday that the newly registered enterprises are focusing on masks, alcohol, medical clothes, and processed food.
He stated that the overall anticipated investment value of these new projects is above US$800 million.
Meanwhile, 135 businesses have closed as a result of the COVID-19 outbreak.
