Another 668,000 doses of AstraZeneca vaccine from Japan government have arrived in Cambodia

Compass Cambodia report, August 7- On the night of July 6, 2021, the Covid-19 Astra Zeneca vaccine, which was donated by the Royal Government and the people of Japan, another 668,000 doses arrived in Cambodia after the Royal Government of Japan announced the assistance 1 million doses of Astra Zeneca vaccine to Cambodia to prevent Covid-19 in Cambodia.

It is worth to mention that the vaccine shipped last night was the second batch to complete number of 1 million doses, while the first batch arrived on July 23 in the amount of 332,000 doses. The Cambodian government commends Japan as a country that has made significant contributions to the Royal Government of Cambodia in the fight against the Covid-19  epidemic. The provision of 1 million doses of vaccine is in line with the relationship between Japan and Cambodia and based on the current situation of Covid-19  in Cambodia. This vaccine aid will support the Royal Government of Cambodia's efforts to fight against Covid-19, as well as alleviate concern of the entire Cambodian citizen.

Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, said that the Royal Government and the people of Cambodia are warmly welcomed and expressed their deep gratitude to the royal government of Japan for its support and assistance to Cambodia in the cause of combating this epidemic, it has been possible through the provision of aid, medical equipment and financing in the previous time.
