US$22 Million Chom Chao Flyover Will Facilitate More Investment Growth In Ang Snoul District

Compass Cambodia report, August 24 - Ang Snoul district in Kandal province has attracted at least ten investment projects worth more than US$36.5 million in the first eight months of 2021, according to the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC).

The latest project, a US$2.5 million garment factory investment by Auspicious Bag & Shoes Accessories Co., Ltd., was approved by CDC last week. According to the CDC, this project will result in the creation of at least 380 employment in the area. According to a CDC report, the CDC approved 87 new investments worth more than $3 billion in the first half of 2021, an increase of roughly 10% over the same period last year.

The construction of a US$22 million flyover and underpass in the Chom Chao area, on the other hand, is expected to be completed by March next year, according to the Department of Public Works and Transports of Phnom Penh on Friday 22 August. 

Until now, the construction is around 80% complete, with some areas currently open to the public. OCIC is building the Chom Chao flyover and underpass, which will take 30 months to complete after starting construction in 2018. After Psar Dey Huy, Kbal Thnal, Stueng Mean Chey, 7 Makara, and 5 Makara, the Chom Chao flyover will be the capital's sixth flyover.

As a result of the completion of the Chom Chao Flyover, traffic into Ang Snoul district via National Road 4 will be eased, and more transportation for business and investment will be attracted to the area.
