Compass Cambodia report - The new Phnom Penh International Airport is now more than 30% complete, and despite recent flooding, construction is proceeding on schedule.
On October 28, Sin Chansereyvutha, a spokesman for the State Secretariat for Civil Aviation (SSCA), indicated that progress had delayed due to the floods' effects. The corporation, on the other hand, was well-prepared for a possible natural disaster, allowing progress to go as scheduled.
"According to the previous report, 28 percent of the construction was done, and roughly 30 percent is likely to be completed," he said, adding that the company will provide an update report soon.
The first phase of the US$1.5 billion airport, of which OCIC owns 90% and the State Secretariat of Civil Aviation 10%, is expected to be finished in 2023.
