Prince Hun Sen Praised The Chinese Company For Helping The Cambodian Government To Develop Into A Tourist Destination

The Prime Minister of the Royal Government of Cambodia, Prince Hun Sen, highly praised and praised the Chinese companies for investing huge sums of money to develop the formerly quiet province of Cambodia as a tourist destination.

On the morning of December 14, 2018, Prime Minister Hun Sen visited the “Seven-Star Sea Tourism Resort Special Zone” project developed by a Chinese-funded company in the Republic of China, and appreciated the contribution made by the Chinese-funded company to Cambodia.

Senate President Sai Chong, President of the National Assembly, Prince Han Sanglin, and Cambodian Red Cross President Wenlani also visited the Seven Star Sea Tourism Resort Special Zone project. Many high-ranking officials of the Cambodian government, representatives of government departments, foreign embassies in Cambodia, and many Chinese investors participated in the inspection of the project.

At this event, Prime Minister Hun Sen and Mrs. Wenlani listened to the progress of the project developers introducing the Qixinghai Tourism Resort Special Zone project.

It should be mentioned that the “Seven-Star Sea Tourism Resort Special Zone” project developed by a Chinese-funded company received the development rights of the Royal Government of Cambodia in 2008 to build a tourist resort with an investment of about US$4 billion. To date, the project has built many infrastructures, including about 200 kilometers of roads, 36-hole golf courses, five-star hotels, commercial centers, international parks, and large dams that can store about 2 million liters.

The developer stressed that after the completion of the first phase of the project, the second phase of the project will be carried out, including the construction of an international airport with a runway length of 3,200 meters. Construction of other golf courses, power plants, high-rise buildings, and deep water that can accommodate 20,000-ton ships. Ports, resorts, etc. The developer also mentioned that the project is in response to Chinese President Xi Jinping's policy of promoting the “Belt and Road” and will enhance friendly cooperation between the two countries.
