Cambodia Finance Investment Development Co., Ltd. and Shanghai Guozhi Group Co., Ltd. Signed a cooperation agreement on development and investment in the Special Economic Zone of PoiPet liang in the morning of (21) at the Cambodian Development Council (CDC) PoiPet liang.

At the ceremony, Banteay Meanchy Governor Sobovo expressed his great pleasure and welcome to the signing of the agreement between Finance Investment Development Co., Ltd. and hanghai Guozhi Group Co., Ltd.

He pointed out that Cambodia Finance Investment Development Co., Ltd. is a company with great potential. On January 1, 2006, the company obtained the project of developing the special economic zone of Bobby Oliang. The project is located in Ou Chrov County, Banteay Meanchy Province (now the city of PoiPet). It covers a total area of 467 hectares and is about 8 kilometers away from National Road 5 and 12 kilometers away from the international border port of PoiPet.

He disclosed that there are currently six factories in the PoiPet Liang Special Economic Zone, including jewelry packing box factories, garment factories, electronic parts factories, plastic factories and jewelry processing factories. The special economic zone has provided jobs for 4977 people and urgently needs more workers.

Governor Sobovo pointed out that Banteay Meanchy is one of the provinces bordering Thailand and has great investment potential. With the help of the PoiPet International Border Port, it will be able to achieve greater success after the establishment of the Special Economic Zone.

He pointed out that special economic zones played an important role in the development of Cambodia's national economy and made great contributions to the development of Cambodia's industrial diversification.

He said that there are about 13 special economic zones in Cambodia, including three in PoiPet City, Banteay Meanchy Province, among which the PoiPet Liang Special Economic Zone is one. The special economic zone is the earliest of the three special economic zones, and this cooperation project will provide greater support for infrastructure construction, industrial upgrading and expansion of investment in the special economic zone.

He believes that the special economic zone will surely achieve unprecedented development in the future.
