The National Road No. 31 project progresses to completion soon

The National Road No. 31 Rehabilitation and Upgrading Project has completed 100% AC concrete overlaying, which means that the entire project may be nearing completion soon.

Please be informed that the project to restore and improve the quality of National Road No. 31 has a total length of 53.53 kilometers from Bek Kus (junction of National Road No. 3) to Kampong Trach district (junction of National Road No. 33). The groundbreaking ceremony was held on December 30, 2022, under the presidency of Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, former Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, and His Excellency Deputy Prime Minister Sun Chanthol, former Minister of Public Works and Transport.

The project is under construction by China Road and Bridge Corporation (CRBC) and is technically supervised by Guangzhou Wanan Technical Advisory Company. The National Road No. 31 was planned to cost more than US$60 million, with a concessional loan from the Government of the People's Republic of China and the contribution of the Royal Government of Cambodia for the settlement of various impacts and taxes.

Once completed, it will further improve Cambodia's road network, improve tourism and transportation conditions on the southwest coast, and boost the economic development of the provinces along the road.

At the same time, regular inspections are carried out to monitor the construction work of the company, aiming for the construction to be carried out in accordance with technical standards and construction contracts to ensure that the construction is strong and durable.
