Proposals for buildings and homes continue, despite the economy being hit by the Covid-19 outbreak.
According to the report of the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction, there are 3,739 construction projects in the first three quarters of 2020, with a total investment value of 5,868 million US dollars and a total area of 12.91 million square meters.
Most of the proposed projects are residential units, which underscores the growing demand for new housing in Cambodia. According to experts, most of the housing projects proposed in the past are affordable projects.
Despite the negative economic growth in the new 2020, the construction sector in Cambodia maintains growth, contributing to the national economy.
