PM Hun Sen will preside over the concrete-casting ceremony of Stung Trang-Kroch Chhmar Bridge

On Tuesday, March 9, 2020, at the Ministry of Public Works and Transport, HE Lim Sidenin, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Public Works and Transport, chaired a meeting to prepare for the concrete-casting ceremony of Cambodia-China Stung Trang-Kroch Chhmar Friendship Bridge with the participation of the Ministry's leadership and relevant technical officials under the Ministry.

The meeting was held to review the progress of the preparatory work of each committee and sub-committee to find a solution to the request, as well as some of the problems that each committee and sub-committee encountered during the implementation.

Addressing the meeting on that occasion, the Secretary of State instructed the members of the Commission and the Sub-Committee in charge of preparing for the ceremony to properly perform their duties as assigned and to work closely with all stakeholders. The concrete -casting connecting ceremony of the Cambodia-China Friendship Bridge between Stung Trang and Kroch Chhmar will does smoothly as planned.

It should be noted that the ceremony of concrete-casting to connect the Cambodia-China Friendship Bridge will be held on December 7, 2020 under the high presidency of Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia.

This bridge is located at Boeung Deng village, Prek Kak commune, Stung Trang district, Kampong Cham province, crossing the Mekong River to the east bank in Kdol Leu village, Trea commune, Krouch Chhmar district, Tbong Khmum province. It is a new bridge across the Mekong River connecting from Kampong Cham to Tbong Khmum province, ground-breaking was inaugurated on December 1, 2017 under the high presidency of Samdech Techo, Prime Minister.

The construction of this bridge has a total length of 1,131 meters and a width of 13.50 meters, a type of reinforced concrete bridge, with a construction period of 42 months as of December 7, 2020, this bridge has achieved 96.4% and is scheduled to be completed in The beginning of 2021.
