Kampot Provincial Administration is ready to officially open the Bokor City Administration building soon

Compass Cambodia report, August 10- On August 6, 2021, His Excellency Chiao Tai, Governor of the provincial board of governors, chaired a meeting with the participation of relevant officials of the units under the Provincial Hall and the Bokor Municipality which is a newly established city to prepare for the official inauguration ceremony, went smoothly.

In the meeting, HE Chaio Tai instructed the relevant officials, especially the newly formed Bokor Municipal Administration, to pay attention on using the existing resources with best effort and overcome the shortcomings of the starting point of this first municipal administration well and must reach the next step, the municipal administration will develop its administrative infrastructure to better serve the administration and public services, as well as local development.

Please be informed that the location of Bokor City Administration Building is ready to be put into operation to work at a private hotel next to National Road 3 at the intersection of Monivong Bokor Park Road in Sangkat Boeung Touk.

It should be informed that Bokor is a municipal administration that was newly established by the Royal Government and the municipal council was elected in accordance with the Law on the Administration of capital, province, municipality, district and Khan on July 25. 2021 and the results of the composition of the City Council were announced by the National Election Committee recently and on August 12, the official launch of the Bokor Municipality will be held to better serve the public services administration and local development to meet the needs of the people.

As for the price of land, in an interview with Business Cambodia, Meas Dim, Branch Manager of Century 21 Zillion Holding Company in Kampot Province, said that the price of land in Phnom Bokor Mountain is now much higher than before after the Royal Government announced Bokor area into a city.

He added that the price of land next to the national road used to be between $ 100 per square meter, but now can increase to $ 150 to $ 200 per square meter. So this means that this is a level that may be above some previous standards, but for buying and selling is still the same, because the price goes up to the market because the area is change into cities, so that means that these prices are an affordable one for the buyer and also a great value for the property owner.
