Compass Cambodia report, September 7 - As the team prepares for the excavation work in Street 371, three large pipes will be under way for the construction of phase II of the Boeung Tumpun Pumping Station.
In addition to only letting in small cars and motorcycles of local residents in the area, the municipal government of Phnom Penh also will temporarily close Street 371 from the 6 September to the 5 November.
A 1.5 m-diameter and two 1.2 m diameter pumping motors with the total pumping capacity of 12 cubic meters per second will be provided for this second phase of pumping station.
This station will be Phnom Penh's largest rain water pumping plant with a total pumping capacity of 33 cubic meters per second after all stages have been completed.
Khan Meanchey, Khan Toul Kork, Khan Sen Sok, and Khan Por Sen Chey will be eased to resolve this flood.
