According to the announcement of the Royal Government of Cambodia and the Tourism Development Bureau, ADB's financial assistance of US$30 million will be used to implement the second stage of tourism development in coastal Cambodia Province.
According to his Excellency Tith Chantha, the sacond stage of tourism development includes : planning to build garbage dumps and urban cleanliness in Baima and 3 other projects in Sihanouk City, such as coastal tourism routes. Construction projects such as sewage treatment plant in Sihanouk Port and Koh Rong of Sihanouk Province.
He said that in 2018, the Royal Government of Cambodia received ADB funding for the implementation of expanded tourism infrastructure development projects. The second phase of the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) is planned to invest $30 million for implementation. In coastal provinces:
1。Baima Solid Waste Treatment Project;
2。Construction of two tourist terminals and Koh Rong coastal tourist routes along the Sihanouk coast;
3。In all 4 coastal provinces, ASEAN tourism standards and safety standards are used to develop tourism.
